Guest guest
I got this email from a friend. Has anyone tried the Thornton Adjustable Positioner for sleep apnea/snoring? http://www.amisleep.com/tapproducts.html As I think I said, I'd do anything not to have to deal with a CPAP so my neurologist has me on a TAP (Thornton Adjustable Positioner) which is a mouthpiece not unlike a mouth guard a football player wears. The guy who invented it, Dr Thornton, is here and Dallas and so I've been working with himsince the neurolgist referred me a few weeks ago. The thing is a God-send. The basic principle is that it thrusts the jaw forward during sleep, thus opening the airway so one can breathe naturally. The CPAP doesn't do that...all it doesis to force air through the already-restricted airway. I can't wait to go to bed each night...not because of snuggling up against my sexy husband, but because I can look forward (finally) to a good night of restful sleep!
