Guest guest
I tried to post this earlier and there is something wrong with today -if your messages don't go through -or you don't see them -please resend. I waited for hours and still don't see emails I " posted " this morning. And that includes this one! Hope you see this email -and hope is feeling better soon!! Hi ! Thanks for asking -and -Yes we are! We are just waiting to make sure that the CHERAB Foundation new online account (for the CHERAB " Children Should Be Seen... And Heard! " T Shirts) is working smoothly. We should have all the information out here and up on the http://www.apraxia.cc next week. where you will be able to purchase the CHERAB " Children Should Be Seen... And Heard! " T Shirt (and get the copy of the " Not Just A Late Talker " half and hour talk show about apraxia for free!!) We are thinking it may be easier if CHERAB just supplies the video tapes because otherwise we'll have to keep track of who sends which blank video cassette to us (some may be more expensive than others, etc.) which could get a bit crazy. I want to thank Carol Holt of our group and her sister in law's brother in law who owns Shirt Masters of Maine http://www.shirtmasters.com who are going to provide us with a thick top quality T Shirt and exceptional printing for a great price! Thanks!! We again will have all the information out next week - and the price will probably be $15.99 for the CHERAB " Children Should Be Seen... And Heard! " T Shirt -and the videotape copy of the show will be included for free! This will be (the first) fund raiser for CHERAB, and it's great that we can do a fund raiser while offering something to all of you that you may want to have anyway-especially with IEP meetings, or pediatrician visits coming up. With the tape -we will make sure to include the bios of our VP Cheryl SLS/MA Educational Consultant who is the NJ Teacher Representative, and one of our advisors, Dr. Judy Flax who is the Research Coordinator of the Tallal Lab and a Senior Research Speech Pathologist for the Infancy Studies Laboratory at the Center for Molecular and Behavioral Neuroscience (CMBN) of Rutgers University, Newark, NJ. They both provide wonderful information which can help with advocacy and raising awareness from a professional standpoint. And of course a special thanks to Liz and Haley from Georgia - http://kidstalkback.tripod.com/kidstalkback/ who were both perfect. We all had so much fun -and hope that you also believe it's something valuable! (Sorry if I won't be around much in the next week - we are under a deadline to finish the CHERAB Foundation Late Talker brochures to go out Nationwide for 2 huge and exciting presentations I will be giving both next week and the week after. (I will tell the rest of you more about this real soon-so stay tuned) Our resident professional writer and groupmember ette Schmid (PJ) is helping me to rewrite and expand with all the helpful information from CHERAB's advisors Marilyn Agin MD, a Tallal PhD, and Sara Rosenfeld- MS CCC/SLP. Speaking of stay tuned - don't forget for those of you that can watch on TV or online - the show Not Just A Late Talker will be on again tonight at 6:00 PM EST and all the details are at http://www.apraxia.cc right on the front page. (so some of you can make your copies off the TV tonight!!) =====
