Guest guest
Hi , My son has a problem with writing his letters numbers and name and the school OT had said " he has fine motor delays " . Then we ended up getting his vision checked and guess what. He is so farsighted it is not even funny. He was a plus 4, if that tells you anything No one knew he had vision problems, because there were no symptoms. Has your son seen an eye doctor and had his vision checked ? Just a thought for you, cause that is some of 's problem. We are awaiting glasses to help.... Sincerely, Crystal.. > My son has been in a Learning and Language Disabilities class since > Sept. Guest guest
He has had his vision checked and apart from a slight astigmatism (sp?) he has better vision than most 5 yr olds! Thanks for the imput! Personally, I think that the teachers in his classroom are showing him one way and the OT is showing him another and he isn't successful either way and gets mad. Thanks again, Mikosz [ ] Re: Apraxia and writing skills Hi , My son has a problem with writing his letters numbers and name and the school OT had said " he has fine motor delays " . Guest guest
Hi ! Is having trouble with pencil grip? If so try putting a band-aid wrapped around a target point on the pencil where it is a comfortable place for him to hold my OT said to elavate or slant by putting like a binder or something under the paper to make it easier for Steve. I think it gets better with age- Steve's did. Your neighbor down the street on Winslow Kerry
