I would like to respond to this. I have struggled with food and weight

my whole life. I have done weight watchers, vegan diet, low carb diet

and the trad food diet. But somehow I always managed to either regain

more weight than I had lost or not lose weight. ..I was off of sugar

for 10 years in my 20's and then decided that I could go back to sugar

and managed to gain and diet and lose and gain all the way up to my

top weight of 140 pounds overweight..I would go to experts

(dieticians, nutritionists, etc) but always found myself back to

organic cookies and cheetos.no matter how much bison, pastured bacon

and raw milk I ate. I still found TWIX and ice cream calling my name.

In early March by the hand of my Higher Power I ended up going thru

food treatment at COR:

http://cormn.org/

and can share with you that I am now 92 days abstinent from compulsive

overeating which for me includes being sugar free and turning my food

over to my sponsor and my GOD each day and 23 pounds that I have let

go of. I am sharing this just in case there is another me out there

that for them it is not about what you eat but about a painful

relationship with food and feeling out of control..I cannot tell you

how wonderful it is for me that I can finally follow the TRAD food

diet which includes full fat dairy and pork and sprouted nuts and at

times a sprouted corn tortilla. I thank all of you on this list who

have helped me get to where I am. If any of you would like to talk

more please contact me offlist. And to my friends out there be

prepared for me to lose another 100 pounds...LOVE kjp

Kathy-jo,

Thank you so much for sharing this! I know there are many of us trad foodies who

know what to do, but are held back in some way by sugar or soda or other

addictions. You are truly inspiring!
