Guest guest
I too really NEEDED a little alcohol when I was younger, in order to get over my social phobia. Luckily, my mom was very understanding and would buy me a bottle of wine to drink AT HOME before going out dancing with my friend. That may SEEM an irresponsible thing to do for a parent but it was quite the opposite. If she had not done that, I would probably have instead tried to obtain something stronger illegally that would no doubt just have made me sick. My friend used to take a little booze from her dad's collection of gins, vodkas and whiskeys when he wasn't home; a little from each bottle so that he wouldn't notice. She once let me try this ungodly concoction... I got sick as a dog! :-( Inger Re: Roots of poor eye contact I am not comfortble in talking one to one > and > > > will get tonguetied and very anxious. Myself, I waited until others drank too much then I could easily talk to THEM. Unless they drank too much and were just ridiculous. Maybe your talking to us will help you a little in your recovery.
