I totally agree with you. I have meet more than a few parents that refuse to

let their child use sign language. (I teach adults with disabilities and I

have a 9 year old whose speech is about the level of 1 1/5 year old) Learning

ASL isn't going to harm your child. If he/she is fortunate enough to not

need it someday it will be a wonderful addition to their resume. Some

collages are even accepting it as a foreign language.
