There is a simple solution to this problem. Just put everyone who

wants to genetically preselect their kids on a list. Then gather the

people up, take them out, and shoot them.

Oh wait...that would be genocide and murder.

Eugenics good.

Genocide and murder bad.

I've got it now.

" Ethical row erupts over designer babies breakthrough "

" More disturbingly, a London hospital applied to use IVF sex selection

techniques to help couples with a family history of autism - by

destroying all their male embryos.

" There is no reliable genetic test for autism, but boys are more

likely than girls to have the condition. Implanting only females

would dramatically reduce the risk, but mean many perfectly healthy

male embryos would be discarded. "

I have a much better idea. Take all the people who think they have the

right to cram their morals down other people's throats and take then

into the wilds of the interior of Africa where they can no longer stick

their noses where they do not belong.

No one gets to dictate to me, I know what is right for me and it's not

anyone else's business. It's between me and my God.

I only responded in the same manner as you did. I would have hoped you

would have seen my post for the point I was making. I have no problem

with you or anyone else having your own differing opinions but when you

suggest having people shot, even in jest, because they have a point of

view that you disagree with, well that's simply not acceptable in my

mind. Here you are, the moderator, baiting people on the list. Way to go!

So are you saying that you agree with the concept that fetuses who

have certain genes should be aborted, even if this means that fetuses

that appear to have AS or that could develop AS should be aborted by

virtue of man's law? Wow! That is a pretty loaded comment to make.

Does this mean that you feel those with AS are lesser persons than

those without AS? Does this mean that you would be fine with aborting

fetuses with AS? I guess asking about retro-active abortions for

those with AS who are already here is a non-issue in your opinion?

I suppose you are right. I could say things better. In my prior post

you can see why I am frustrated.

Wow you certainly have a way of putting words where I had none. All I

stated that it is between me and my God to decide. No one else has any

business dictating their believes on me. I am in a much better position

to decide what is right for me than any other person.

I don't think there could possibly be such a thing as retroactive

abortions. You are creating a ridiculous straw man.

I am quite certain that aborted fetuses would hold the same belief ...

IF THEY HAD LIVED LONG ENOUGH TO BE ABLE TO SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES.

Actually I did not see why you are frustrated. All I ask is that there

be respect for all sides. My opinion is no more right or wrong than

your's Raven's or 's.

We all are entitled to our opinions. If you do not want opposing

opinions then the best course of action is not to comment in the first

place. It would have been much better for you to have declared the topic

of limits and putting an end to it without comment on your part.

I am the moderator on several lists. I have set limits on certain topics

partially because I know that if the topic is started I will want to

voice my strongly held views. I know that certain topics are simply not

suitable due to their volatile nature.

What sticks in my craw more than anything is when someone gives their

views which i strongly disagree with and then they prohibit comment from

anyone else. That's simply unfair and unethical.

You make good points Ace.

You are entitled to your opinions. But somemtimes with you it is hard

to tell what your intent is.

OK, Ace. Show me where you have been censored and then I will

understand what you mean when you say that you have been prohibited

from commenting on the topic.

Hi, hello, hello there, almost-an-abortion speaking here. I was

fortunate to live long enough to say, I'm sure glad to be here! My

choice: Life! Thanks, Grandpa for stopping my parents from doing it!

None of the above. I am simply a strong believer in logic. Logic puts

bread on my table and a roof over my head. Logic rules my life. Logic

is, well, logical.
