Don't know if the adjective " by far " really applies, considering that in the

" leanest State " you still have almost 1 in 5 people who are overweight. Sad to

think that people in several parts of the world are starving, and I suppose in a

sense, many of the obese here are also malnourished, given they largely consume

a diet of fast food and and empty calories from stuff like high fructose corn

syrup. Hopefully, as with the problem of smoking, there is a (very) slow

raising of consciousness among the US population both about the causes and

effects of eating too much of the wrong things, and not exercising enough. But

I fear that there also will be more demands for pharmaceutical fixes for what is

almost entirely a lifestyle/behavioral/food-industry/advertising problem.
