XP: EcoHarvest Kids and Adults Free Program

My 5 year old will be attending while my toddler and I play at the adjoining

s Park. Anyone else interested? (I'm bummed that I'm unable to attend the

adult session, but thought many of you would have interest.)

ABOUT ECOHARVEST /

EcoHarvest is a partnership between Eco Education and Harvest Moon Backyard

Farmers to restore a peace garden at the Seward Montessori elementary/middle

school in Minneapolis. Fresh produce from this garden will be used in their

school lunch program, at Birchwood Cafe and donated to a local food shelf. In

addition, this schoolyard garden will serve as a living classroom where after

school and summer school programs will engage young people to learn more about

healthy and locally grown food.

SUMMER PROGRAM /

The EcoHarvest Summer Program consists of eight lessons held at the Seward

Montessori garden. Each lesson will emphasize the importance of healthy and

locally-grown food and include gardening skills and information as well as a

fun, hands-on activity or art project.
