Guest guest Posted February 2, 2002 Report Share Posted February 2, 2002 I am not a speech therapist but my guess is that this may hold true for children with oral motor weaknesses but not for children with verbal apraxia. I don't know if a child can have oral apraxia but not verbal apraxia. My guess is yes but these are children who with oral motor therapy catch up rather quickly.
