Hi!

Are you surprised? Many schools hate having outside involvement because

they forced to do more and be more accountable.

Take Care,

If you have the website for IDEA would you share it? I was just looking for it &

the link I used before doesn't work anymore. Thanks!

, don't forget to read the state regs. (Ours are online at VDOE's

website, www. pen.K12.va.us) The state regs can go farther or can be better

than IDEA, IDEA is the minimum standard states must follow. And believe me,

we had plenty of people verifying that VA regs met IDEA standards before they

were approved last year! The state regs will be what your

administrators/coordinators should be referring to if there is any

controversy. It is always fun to carry a copy with you and if they tell you

we can't do this or we must do this, slide over your regs and ask " oh, can

you show me where the regs state that? " If they state it is local policy

they are speaking of, ask for a copy of that policy.
