Not Just A Late Talker TV Show You all can watch it...again!! " Not Just A Late Talker " A half and hour talk show about verbal apraxia featuring parents and professionals from CHERAB is scheduled to re-run again on Friday, January 25th at 6:00 PM EST on CN8 on a show called " Real Life " You will be able to view this online at http://www.cn8.tv once you have or download Real Player. You can get a free trial of Real Player (to find the " free " download of Real Player at http://www.real.com/realone/index.html?src=dcnone look for the small type on the gray bar on this page) test it out before this Friday! (I did and it's fun!! -it's like having a mini TV on your screen while you work online!) Don't try to get on last minute at show time which is what happened last time -get on early so there are no crashes again!! The Late Talker/apraxia half and hour talk show last aired on CN8 http://www.cn8.tv on a show called " Real Life " at 6:00 PM 1/14/2002. This show, titled " Not just a late talker " (You know how everyone says " Oh he's just a late talker! " ) is about apraxia from the view points of parents (with their apraxic children) and professionals. One of the new advisors for CHERAB is on the show - Dr. Judy Flax , who is a PhD in charge of research for the Center for Molecular and Behavioral Neuroscience at Rutgers University - as well as (our resident TV star) Cheryl SLS MA /Educational Consultant who is featured in two commercials as the NJ Teacher Representative-and one of the commercials was aired twice during the show!! Due to another very exciting project we are working on Marilyn Agin MD was not able to make it to the taping for this show, however there will be others! The 6:00 PM half and hour talk show on Late Talker vs. Apraxia aired all over New Jersey, land, Pennsylvania and Delaware to over 4 million homes. For anyone outside of those area's you will also be able to watch online as well when there are repeats. Here is what to do if you know of a repeat date. Go to http://www.cn8.tv and click on " streaming video " . You will first need to have or download if you don't have " Real Player " -free version at http://www.real.com/realone/index.html?src=dcnone You will be able to watch this entire show-and others, online! If you can't or didn't copy it off your VCR and you want a video copy of the half and hour talk show on Late Talker vs. Apraxia, or you want to know about future re runs - call CN8 at 732-602-7492 ext. 2570 You will need to ask for show number 66 - The show is called " Real Life " titled " Not just a late talker " and the original air date is January 14th, 2002. Again, they will be repeating it so it's important to give them the original air date. The cost is about $30 or something -and that does not go to CHERAB but right to CN8. Please direct all your questions to them at 732-602-7492 ext. 2570. I asked the producer and she does believe they will ship internationally. I had heard that this show " zips by " from the producer who watched it before it aired and she was right. She told me that when you have a great show - the time moves quickly-and our show " zipped " . (When a show goes slow -it's not a good show-but I guess that's obvious) Glad to hear it zipped by because that's how it felt to us during the taping! Thanks , , Autumn and everyone from CN8 for helping to give the children a smile and a voice! One other thing is that on Monday, February 4th, there will be a show on Sensory Integration -same show, " Real Life " and same time - 6:00 PM EST. May want to tune in for that too! So here again is the schedule for the shows on CN8 or http://www.cn8.tv on the half hour talk show " Real Life " Friday, January 25th, 6:00 PM EST a re run of " Not Just A Late Talker " about verbal apraxia Monday, February 4th, 6:00 PM EST the airing of a show on Sensory Integration. Again -please pass this on! Everyone can see these shows! =====
