Do I have RA?

Hi, I'm Debi. Lately I have not been feeling quite so good. For

several years my knees would ache when I went to a movie or rode in

a car for extended periods of time. I found that, like at movies, if

I moved my legs or kept them stretched out (always sitting in a row

with nothing in front) then my knees wouldn't hurt. Here lately my

fingers have been achy, but I do lots of typing and sewing. Also

I've been trying to excercise regularly since Christmas (overweight

and recently dxed with type 2 diabetes), dropped 20lbs but now my

ankles ache when I've been walking, like within the joints. I've

never had that happen. I started fearing osteoporosis so I began a

calcium supplement several weeks ago. But the last week or so my

knees have really started aching for no reason as far as obvious

stress to them. I also read about RA on a website and it talked

about cysts or something just under the skin. I'm developing those

on my arms and sides and thighs.

One other thing. My paternal gradfather had severe RA. I think he

developed the disease in his 30's 40's. I'm 32 yrs old. So, what do

you all think? Am I hopeless, lol?

TIA!

Debi
