Hello everyone,

This is our 4th day trying DMG..1/2 tablet each day. I have noticed

that my daughter's speech has improved in that she is more talkative

which is the good thing....but today I rec'd a note from the teacher

indicating that she was very unfocused at school, loud and wanting to

hug one of her friends all day.

Her teacher e-mailed me to find out if something was going on at home

because she was so unlike herself!

Has anyone used DMG and seen these kind of behaviours! Should I stop

the tablets?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Lorie

Hi!

I am reading a great book called " Unraveling the Mystery of Autism

and Pervasive Developmental Disorder, A Mother's Story of Research

and Recovery " by Karyn Seroussi.

On page 227 it says (about DMG): " In some cases, hyperactivity can

result from its usage, which disappears when the supplement is

discontinued, or when the child is additionally supplemented with

folic acid. "

I've never used it. And sort of just entering this part of the

journey (doing a lot of reading) so I cannot give you firsthand info.

Lorie,

I used DMG with my son Mark for a couple of years. He had incredible

improvements on it, especially with his speech. I purchased mine from

Kirkman Labs since it is local to me. They have a website that describes

DMG usage and such but in some cased DMG causes hyperactivity in those

children who are deficient in folic acid. Adding folic acid is supposed

to combat this. Dr. Rimland has written about this as well. Mark didn't

have a problem on it but I'd suggest continuing because you are seeing results

and research the folic acid thing. Every child can have a bad day too. The

best thing to do is journal this trial and research...it may take a few weeks

for your child to level off.

Good luck,

Tammy
