-, my son is 17; he was normal until he had the MMR booster

at age 12. He became very agressive about 20 days after the shot, so

we put him on the gfcf diet, which helped tremendously in this area;

in fact, it took all agression away. I am chelating him with lipoic

acid for mercury poisoning which we put on hold for a while, until I

can determine the cause of his red ears. Lately, it seems that his

ears have become very red; some days more than others. I started him

on pro-efa's about a week and a half ago to see if it would help him

to talk better. His ears were already red before this. I have seen

the correlation that when his nose runs, his ears get congested or

very red, and then he has this speech retrieval problem. It seems

this inner ear problem, probably due to a pst deficiency, causes him

to have trouble retrieving his words. He seems to have so much to

say, but just can't say it. He also developed dyslexia about this

time that he has had trouble with his ears and runny nose. I am

fixing to start him on the Feingold diet next week. I was going

through the Feingold recipe archives finding recipes to make the

Feingold Diet taste better. I have a little brushing up to do on

trying to remember what spices he can or cannot have, etc. I know I

am giving him too many salicylates in the form of spices in trying to

hide the taste of his supplements.

There is a psychiatrist,I believe his name is Levinson, who believes

that inner ear problems lead to a variety of problems, including

dyslexia and fearfulness. I believe this fearfulness could lead to

word retrieval problems. He has examined many children with this

problem. He puts them on anti-motion medication and medications like

Benadryl, in super strong doses, to help with the problem. He says,

with his program, the dyslexia and fearfulness go away. He also

mentioned that each time the ear has fluid, it may take up to 3

months to clear it. I think he has a website.

Anyway to make a long story short, the Feingold Diet is supposed to

get rid of the cause of many allergies and clear up ear infections,

etc. I hope to start next week and see for myself. Rose

Hi, thanks for your response. He is already on a gfcf diet, but I do

think he is very sensitive to phenols. I plan to start him on the

Feingold diet incorporated into the gfcf diet. Rose
