Guest guest
I was just making my morning egg smoothie after getting back from the chicken coop (had to say that, never fails to please me, getting eggs just laid in the last hour or so!) and decided to throw a chunk of grass fed kidney in there with the rest. I can not tell the difference from the way it tastes without, tomorrow I will go more, the chunk I through in there was probably a little smaller than a standard chicken egg. I would label this one kid friendly if you're looking to get some vital nutrients in to them without their objections (assuming you didn't tell them). These smoothies usually look something like this... 3-5 pastured eggs qtr to a half banana, organic (have you seen how they process conventional? yuck!) And then while blending I usually add a little cocoa powder so it doesn't chunk up like it would otherwise. ----- And then obviously I added some kidney to this one, but you could go with any of these soft organs, at least kidney and liver. You'll have to experiment because this was the first time doing it, and I don't know how much will be 'too much'. cheers!
