Guest guest
HI all, I just finished reading Turn Here Sweet Corn by Atina Diffley, from your neck of the woods -- you probably know her and have eaten food she's grown. The book goes back to our library tomorrow; en route home I intend to stop and buy my own copy to read again and lend. It's a fabulous combination of romance and reality in relationships; practical detail and broad principles in working and living with the rhythms of life and building the soil; cultivating, harvesting and marketing produce; political struggles, providing for the future -- overall an amazing and profoundly inspiring work. I strongly recommend it, especially since it reflects a common thread we share through our appreciation for real food and all the dimensions that go with that.
