Guest guest
Thanks Hannah Lori and everyone else who has sent me replies. I know that my little man has all this information in his head that he wants to get out and he will if only he gets the right therapist. Just a little extra information on the posting regarding reading he was asked by my mum what he wanted bought back from Austrailia when they went on holiday now he was just over six and a kangaroo or koala was offered " na tink " (no stink) and he said " boba " (no idea right?) he went and got his book about animals of the world turned the page of Australia and pointed to a wombat - I know my 10 year old didn't know that wombats were an Austrailian animal. He got one but just these little hints that maybe he will succeed at school and be able to read now I just want the right therapist to help him talk. I wondered if there is any consistency in the words dyspraxic children say. For example has a plum at my mums today " dup " so I corrected him - is this ok? " ppp " " pl " and so on in the end it was " dump " but thats an improvement. I just have seen so much improvement over the summer holidays and he goes back to school on the 30th Jan after a six week break a new school with only a handful of children he knows one of whom will be in his class. I am so anxious and I want to change his therapist before then too? Will let you know how he gets on. Bye thanks everyone Michele
