(Dawn Heinsohn) Program Training Coordinator ILRU is seeking applicants for a position requiring a person who is self- directed, detail oriented, goal-oriented, adept at problem-solving, who has the ability to design and implement programs which address the varied needs of customers, and has the ability to work effectively with advisors and constituencies, balancing their sometimes differing perspectives and synthesizing plans and policies based on their recommendations. Specific responsibilities 1. Oversee work schedules for several projects. 2. Coordinate development, acquisition, organization, and distribution of publications and materials, including studies, brochures, fact sheets and other project-related information. 3. Oversee the provision of (and provide technical assistance to) constituents on location throughout the nation, by telephone, or other electronic means. 4. Coordinate trainings, seminars and conferences conducted at locations throughout the nation. 5. Coordinate training, technical assistance and information dissemination through distance education courses, electronic discussion group and newsgroup management, and other electronic means. 6. Organize a program of on-line presentations for education and technical assistance. 7. Coordinate marketing initiatives for project activities. 8. Utilize results of surveys and evaluations to achieve continuous program improvement. Required qualifications *Minimum of five years experience in project coordination and management. *Minimum of five years experience in disability-related policy development or analysis, program management or administration, or project coordination. *Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. *Knowledge and experience designing, implementing and evaluating community personal assistance service programs preferred. *Knowledge of Medicaid services and policy, program development, consumer direction in service delivery, nurse delegation and other issues in home and community services preferred. *Personal experience with disability and as a recipient of home and community based services preferred. The person who is hired for this position will be expected to travel frequently to training and technical assistance locations throughout the nation. Salary commensurate with experience.
