Guest guest
Hello Michele, Don't dispair. With the Computer age you are not left out in the cold. As for HELP...See if you can switch therapists. I think your gut feelings have strong merit. After all even if the new therapists don't know much about Apraxia...I'll be they are more interested in trying new approaches with children than your original therapist. I will be posting a list of word approximations for a core vocabulary for verbally apraxic children as a " GET STARTED " suggestion that you will be able to download and share with your therapists. In addition, if you have been following the newsletter, you may have read about the success children with VA have experienced in an Aural/Oral Educational Program for Hearing Impaired Children. Well, the Graham Bell Organization has a home program (<www.agbell.org) for young children away from a center for Hearing Impaired Infants and preschoolers. Check them out and maybe you too can take advantage of their Home Program. Hope these suggestions help. Go with your gut. Parents are rarely wrong!
