Guidelines for the Grouplist

Hello everyone!!

We, the CHERAB listserve moderators would like to say how

excited we are that we have such incredible people, parents

and professionals alike, willing to educate and support one

another 24/7. Our online group here, which is made up of

all of us from all over the world, is WONDERFUL!! Many of

us have met through this group and have become friends both

" e " friends and real life friends, for this reason, we are

sending out the following message.

Because CHERAB believes everyone has a voice: we want to be

sure you are all heard. Our list is growing on a daily

basis, and the e-mails are increasing over time. We are all

doing a great job in helping and supporting and providing

information to each other - here is just a tip to keep

things running smoothly.

We would like to suggest that messages that are meant for

" only " the person you are sending it to, be sent privately

instead. Most of you do not see these messages since we

take the time to pass them on to the person they are meant

for, but this is getting to be timely as our list continues

to grow.

Here is an example of such a message (names made up of

course)

" Patty, I'll meet you tomorrow at the park at 2:00! Bonnie "

If the message is something you feel would help others as

well, or you have a question in the midst of

the message, please continue to send that type of

message to our " group " .

Here is an example of such a message which is tweaked from

above (names and location made up of course)

Patty, I'm from Roselle Park NJ, and I think it will be

great if we can meet at the park tomorrow, and perhaps

other may want to join us as well! If you or anyone else

from the area is interested email me back privately at

Bonnie@... if you want to meet at the Echo Lake

Park in the playground area at 2:00 tomorrow, June 7th and

we can exchange phone numbers and details! Bonnie "

To respond privately: click on reply, then copy the

person's email and replace the list address and paste in

the personal email address you just copied. As always, if

you get the message in digest you may want to also delete

off the other 20 or so messages and only leave the one you

are replying to in private -and change the subject if it

says Digest __ to what the subject is. If you are sending

out your email address to the group and want those that

only read messages from the web to be able to have your

email address too (for security reasons online only the

first half of the email shows.) -here is a trick: Write

your email address both ways like this Bonnie@...

or Bonnie at ie.com.
