Prezista 300 mg tablet DISCONTINUED!!!

Hey all,

Just an FYI that Prezista has been discontinued in the 300 mg tablet

form.

I have just gone round and round with my Dr office and my pharmacy

trying to get a refill. The pharmacy said they could get a 400 mg not

the 300 mg and my Dr said the 400 mg wasn't for me sine I am already on

treatment. Neither one knew of the 300 mg being discontinued in

advance.

Prezista now only comes in two doses, a new 400 mg dosage(for treatment

naive patients only) and a 600 mg tablet(which while available, no one

seemed to know about other than the drug company Tibotec).

If you have an existing prescription for two 300 mg twice a day, you

may need to get a new prescription to get the new 600 mg tablet form.

Just be prepared that the pharmacy and/or Dr may not know of this

change!
