Guest guest
I'm sorry if this is OT, but the doctor has prescribed steroids for my daughter for the next month and she has already been on them for 2 weeks. I am at a loss as to who to turn to. Here is the situation: My 18 yo daughter has a prosthetic eye which is too small for her. The appointment to get a new eye is not until Aug. 16. The problem is that her eyelid is rubbing on the prosthesis which is causing inflamation. The doctor has prescribed a steroid to reduce the inflamation. I asked him if there are any side effects, especially after using a steroid for so long. He said " No. " I also asked him if there's anything more natural that we can do. He again said " No. " Now the doctor said that since she is putting the steroid drops into her prosthetic eye that there are no side effects. However, my daughter says that these drops give her headaches and causes that side of her face to go numb. She has discovered that my homemade kefir helps alleviate the headaches. Is there some natural health care professional who can help in this situaion? Thank you so much for reading this!
