Gilead's HIV Co-Pay Assistance Program Hi Marty,

I am pleased to inform you that we have just launched the Truvada co-pay assistance program.   We have branded the program under the Truvada name, as it our most widely used treatment for combination therapy, but the program also applies to Emtriva and Viread.

As you know, the program provides meaningful assistance for HIV patients with high co-pays.  The program covers co-pays for insured patients after the first $50 and u

p to $200/month for a full year.

Patients can enroll by obtaining a Truvada co-pay assistance card from their physician or healthcare provider.  We will be working to distribute cards as quickly as possible, but if a physician or healthcare provider does not have an available Truvada co-pay assistance card, patients can call the toll-free number 888-358-0398 to enroll immediately and receive a card in the mail.

For Atripla, because of the nature of the joint venture agreement between Gilead and BMS, both companies must agree on the specifics of any patient assistance program for Atripla.  At this time, Gilead and BMS have not reached an agreement on the terms and for now, we are unable to provide a co-pay assistance program for Atripla.  However, Gilead remains committed to patient access to Atripla through the Atripla Patient Assistance Program.

Please let me know if you have any other specific questions.

 Best regards and happy holidays!
