Guest guest
To Juli and everyone, I wanted to bring attention to the power of those of us that are " just " parents. Kristy is a mom from North Carolina who had not sung much professionally after her kids were born -but after hearing about 9-11, and feeling like most of us -that she wanted to do " something " about it but not knowing what -she picked up her guitar and started to tell a story through a simple song called Little Did She Know -a song about something that moved her about 9-11. Even though it doesn't go into these details here at this link http://www.kristyjackson.com/journey.htm, I know this because I heard her radio interview on WPLJ. I first heard the song on WPLJ radio -a station out of NYC -and was so moved by it that I started crying the first time I heard it. Out of all the 9-11 images at that time that were horrific to believe and accept at first -this one I could relate to -a simple story about a dad on his way to work on a typical day - and how soon after that the rest of the world finds out what a hero his wife always knew he was. I was not the only one that was so moved by the song -and soon it became the number one requested song on WPLJ -everyone that heard it was moved by it -and still is. http://www.kristyjackson.com/buzz.htm Not only did Kristy provide a powerful tribute to the heroes of 9-11, she also once again showed us the power of being " just " a parent, and how just one person can change the world -or at least the way we look at it. http://www.link4u.com/littledidsheknow.htm Thanks for the inspiration! =====
