Guest guest
That was my son when he started pre-school 1 1/2 years ago. It took a whole quarter to be able to leave him without having to be held by teacher. I hadn't thought about it until dh yelled at him for whining while getting ready for school a couple of weeks ago. I learned last year never yell it makes him; it makes him more attached. However it was a year later and he seemed to be over it by school time. No dice. He had to be held while I left and threw a 20 minute temper tantrum then was fine. So in our case staying calm and not rushing him is essential. We are often late but it makes for good days. That said I did visit pre-school unexpectedly that 1st year and have a lot of faith in it and the teachers. Pre-school has done wonders for him and he is now talking in full sentences. Hope this helps. Dawn >I WOULD LIKE TO SEE IF ANYBODY HAS HAD A PROBLEM WITH THEIR CHILD >BEING REALLY ATTACHED TO THEM,THEN STARTING THEM IN A " SPECIAL >PRE-SCHOOL " AND HAVING THEM CRY THE ENTIRE TIME.WILL THIS GET >BETTER?MY SON (3YR OLD)ALSO HAS A HARD TIME CALMING HIMSELF DOWN >DURING THIS PROCESS.WE HAVE TRIED ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING I CAN >THINK OFANY SUGGESTIONS?
