I'm posting the following for Amy Lazic CCC-SLP who is one of the Co-

Chair's to this year's New Jersey Speech Hearing Convention for

parents called the Full Day Acvocacy Track. By the way -Amy is an

SLP out of the Tom's River location of the Children's Specialized

Hospital (affiliated with the Mountainside location that CHERAB meets

at) Amy told me that 80 or 90% of her caseload now is apraxic

children!! Her phone number is below -for people in this area of NJ,

she may be a good professional to check out if you are looking!

NJSHA -The New Jersey Speech Hearing Association is excited to

announce the SECOND ANNUAL FULL DAY ADVOCACY TRACK which will be held

on Saturday, May 4th 2002 from 8:30 am -5:30 pm at the Atlantic City

Convention Center in Atlantic City, NJ, and it is getting booked

fast! This years advocacy track will provide caregivers and

professionals with information to help children receive the highest

level of support and care needed. The track touches on the laws of

Federal Statute for the Benefits of Disabled Students Through Age

21. In addition, the track will touch on Medicaid managed care,

parenting and stress management and behavioral intervention in the

home. The well known Hanen Program will be presenting a seminar

entitled " it Takes Two to Talk. We are very excited to offer such a

program, and hope that you find it interesting as well.

We are asking that you share the enclosed flyer/registration form

with the professionals, caregivers, and parents at your facility. We

would like to reach out to as many interested people as possible.
