Guest guest
The local Shriners here in NY have teamed up with the NY Mets for a night of fundraising and awareness raising on July 24. If anyone would like to attend the game, please see the attached link (or e-mail me for more info). A special section will be reserved for the Shriners and their families as well as some patients and their families (including mine, who will be in attendance to show our support). A portion of the money from every ticket sold will go back to the hospitals. The Mets have also agreed to run a promo for the hospitals prior to the start of the game and there may be other opportunities during the game to get the word out as well. My understanding is that the more ticekts that are sold, the more " perks " the Mets will give as far as annoucements and things of that nature. http://newyork.mets.mlb.com/nym/ticketing/group_offers.jsp?group=shriners

Guest guest
Thanks so much for your support, !!! It is much appreciated, girlfriend!! The latest update I received states: " A few Nobles (Shriners) will be on-field before the game to accept the Mets' Spirit Award on behalf of the Hospitals. We will show a couple of the latest PSAs and will be handing out fliers about both the Hospitals and the Fraternity. " So, at the very least, we will be raising awareness in front of tens of thousands in attendance at the game. And, hopefully, we'll get some TV time too, so if anyone gets SNY (the Mets' TV station), try to catch the game if you can. I will update you after the event. I'm sure there will be lots of photos as one of the big PR guys from Shriners (who is amazingly devoted for the organization and the hospitals), and who works closely with HQ in Tampa, will be in attendance. Thanks again, , for spreading the word. The success of all of the Shriners Hospitals well into the future can only benefit all of our children. > > Hey ! > If I was in NY I would be there!
