Guest guest
We were out of cast/brace for like 2 weeks. We didn't have any regression. We are concerned for our son being in neither cast nor brace for a period of time. More specifically, we are in Shriners/Phili so if anyone has personal experience there that would be helpful. We are considering bracing in New York vs. Phili. Thank you in advance Zehava mom to Binyamin 28 months old, in cast #

Guest guest
Hi Zehava, My daughter had a brace last summer. She was molded for a brace under anesthetic, then re-casted. It took three weeks for the brace to be made. I don’t know what the scheduling issue was but there must have been one. When we went back down for the brace, it was way too small. She might’ve had a growth spurt over those three weeks? But I find that hard to believe. The brace technician Matt did a great job. He re-measured her and had a new brace made in three days. She kinda fought us every time we put her brace back on, but that said, after her most recent cast #9, she asked for a brace the very next day. She rarely complains, but it’s almost daily that she asks for the brace (I think she wants to go swimming). Dr C thinks they can have it made quicker than three weeks sometime in June. I don’t have any more definite info than that right now.
