Guest guest
Hi , Just wondering....how did you go about starting your son on supplements? I've read about them but I the slightest idea of where to begin. Did you confer with your pediatrician or did you just start? Are there any side effects? How do you know if your child has a fatty acid deficiency? Thanks, Marissa
Guest guest
Hi Marissa, yes, I did talk to my pediatrician, who told me that it couldn't harm him so I decided to try ProEFA primarily based on the info found on www.apraxia.cc. I figured if I didn't notice any change then I would assume he didn't have a deficiency, butI noticed a change within a few days. Hope this helps,
Guest guest
Is ProEFA a prescription or over the counter supplement? How do you know how much to use? Where can it be bought if it is over the counter? I think I'll try it with my 2 year old. I am allergic to fish and he was breastfed vs. formula fed so maybe he has the deficiency? >From: " elliebelly8301 " <catherine@...> >Reply- > >Subject: [ ] Re: new to list/questions about supplements >Date: Mon, 15 Apr 2002 16:51:33 -0000 > >Hi Marissa, yes, I did talk to my pediatrician, who told me that it >couldn't harm him so I decided to try ProEFA primarily based on the >info found on www.apraxia.cc. Guest guest
ProEFA can be purchased online from several sources - I got mine from Kirkmanlabs.com, but if you go to http://www.apraxia.cc and look in the index for EFA resources, you will find some other sources. I think there is a vegetarian form of omega-3 supplements which you might want to try due to fish allergy.
