I am in Ontario (Wasaga Beach)...I am having the same problems...I have twins

who were preemies....31 months and NO SPEECH, NO SOUNDS!!!!!!! We have been

seeing SLP for a year; but only get therapy once every month or 2.....because

of lack of therapists here!!! We share a 1 hour appointment!!!! So we get 1/2

hour each once a month (or two).....I hear ya and would also be interested in

any help that can be given...We are also not in a financial position to pay

for private therapy even with government financial help!!!

Mom to Aidan & Devlin, 28 weekers, now 2 years, IUGR (resolved), TTTS, Apnea

(resolved), Bradycardia (resolved), ROP (resolved), pulmonary Stenosis,

Atrial Septal Defects, intrahepatic portal shunt (liver now resolved),

delayed in every area ( global delays), speech delays...now looking into

apraxia......and taking EFA's (ProEfa- Nordic Naturals)

I am new to here,so bear with me if I ramble. I have four children,my

two middle children are what we assume to be apraxic.My four and a

half year old has been receiving speech therapy for two and a half

years and is just been starting to try to talk in the past four

months.I can not get a diagnosis from the developmental pediatrician

or the neurologist and speech language pathologists can not make

diagnosis in Ontario so we keep hitting this brick wall. My trouble

is I can only get one half hour of therapy per week and need help to

find more because I can not afford the very expensive rates. Is there

anyone in Ontario who has come across these obstacles. My two year

old son is following the same path as his brother and I am frustrated

that I can't get the help I need. I also was wondering if anyone else

has this diagnosis with a seizure disorder as my two boys do have? I

await anyone's suggestions.
