frozen scoby

Hi,

Why not try using them, letting them thaw out completely first and

then use as usual....may take a bit longer than usual or may not work

at all but only one way to know for sure:-))

I agree with Bev. Bacteria are not usually hurt from very cold temps. They are

greatly slowed down into hibernation. I would think that kt would be about the

same as kefir in that, when the grains are frozen, they can be revived again. It

always takes a little bit for them to get back up to par and the first few

batches may be a little off. Like Bev said... give it a try!

Why not try it with a small batch of sweet tea? Be patient as it may be coming

out of hibernation. If it works, great. If not, what have you lost? It will be a

great experiment, and we would all love to know the results.
