Guest guest
Hi, Why not try using them, letting them thaw out completely first and then use as usual....may take a bit longer than usual or may not work at all but only one way to know for sure:-)) Peace, Love and Harmony, Bev > > During a move my scoby was frozen and just wondering is that the end or can I still use them >
Guest guest
I agree with Bev. Bacteria are not usually hurt from very cold temps. They are greatly slowed down into hibernation. I would think that kt would be about the same as kefir in that, when the grains are frozen, they can be revived again. It always takes a little bit for them to get back up to par and the first few batches may be a little off. Like Bev said... give it a try! Good luck, Rodrick frozen scoby During a move my scoby was frozen and just wondering is that the end or can I still use them

Be patient as it may be coming out of hibernation. If it works, great. If not, what have you lost? It will be a great experiment, and we would all love to know the results.
