Vinegar-y Culture

Hi Everyone, I just joined the list.  A few years back I brewed and drank the

Kombucha Tea, then I believe I got MOLD and put me out of commission.  Well I

let a few years slide and then I obtained another Kombucha Culture and made

several batches.  Then with the move and all I made the last batch 4 months ago

and it has been sitting in my kitchen cupboard undistured. 

 

Well haveing recent problems with an enlarged prostate, and arthritis  I

re-investigated the Kombucha.  I am anxious to get with the program again. My

question is: Can I still use the culture with the very Vinegar-y liquid and

should I use the liquid as a starter or is it better to start another batch

using some of the kombucha tea I have refrigerated.  I know the latter would

take longer. I am currently on a quest for the gallon glass pickle jars.  I am

62 yrs old and live in Saginaw, Michigan and am looking forward to the messages

from the group. The culture is really huge had a hard time getting it out as I

transferred it to a glass covered bowl till I hear from you.  Have a great
