Looking to donate my car to a speech related charity

Hi all,If you could believe it, I am having trouble finding a

reputable, non-profit, " speech related " charity that accepts used cars

as a taxdeductible donation. My local Easter Seals chapter does not

acceptcar donations and could not refer me to an organization that

would. I would prefer to donate to a charity that helps

children/adults in mylocal area (I'm in Nassau County, Long

Island,NY) but anything in theNY/Tri-state area would be fine also.

Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated. It's hard to

believe that I've gotten the run around trying to givesomething

away. I could only imagine if I was actually asking themfor
