Guest guest
I started about five days ago a new batch, 1 ½ qts. with a large scoby. and I noticed I have two baby scobies from the mother scoby, now is that unusual? I tasted it and it is still quite sweet. I don’t like it very sour but I think it is too sweet. Is there something wrong or do I need to just let it work longer? Thanks, Diane
Guest guest
Hey Diane! I posted a similar question yesterday...I'm currently brewing my first two batches, and I'm day 18 or so, and my brew is still fairly sweet. Your first batch may take a while longer to ferment than subsequent batches. Definitely let it go longer. What do you mean by having two new scoby's? New scoby's always form on top, so in theory, you should only end up with one, unless one sinks half way through the process or something weird like that. Hope that helps! > > I started about five days ago a new batch, 1 ½ qts. with a large scoby. and > I noticed I have two baby scobies from the mother scoby, now is that > unusual?
