2 children diagnosed with apraxia

I have a 5 year that was diagnosed with apraxia a little over two years ago.

He has been attending speech, physical, and occupational therapy since he was

2 1/2 years old. He was also recently diagnosed with moderate ADHD. My 4

year old also was diagnosed with apraxia about a year ago and he is also

attending speech and occupational therapy. Both my sons also attend and

early child hood special education pre-school. My 5 yr old attends four

times a week and my 4 yr old attends three times a week.

I also have a 2 year old daughter that talks up a storm and shows no signs of

apraxia.

I believe that there is some sort of genetic link. I was in speech therapy

from k-9th grade. However, back in the 70's I was not diagnosed with

anything. The professionals just said I had a speech delay.
