Hi Donna, I can tell you that I myself was very skeptical that efa's would

make any difference. I had been supplementing my daughter from 2 1/2 -3 1/2

with efelex and it her teeth grinding stopped within 11 wks but nothing

really with speech. Then I switched to proefa because of this list and

within days my daughter gave me her first looking right at me and very

purposeful " mama. " Then within 3 wks she was saying it everyday purposefully.

Previously, I would hear mama but it seemed like it was just being said as

she was running around and as a babble. Then she started to say other words

purposefully. We have a long way to go but my daughter's case is very severe

and her brain MRI showed that her myelin at 2 and 1/2 was in its final stage

of dev.-this was considered within the outer limits of normal but could very

well be contributing/causing her low tone, SI (she's a sensory seeker),

severe global delays including receptively, and apraxia.

I still remember when I prayed to God that she could have just one word to be

used purposefully and I did get it and more, so you see I do believe in the

efa's. My daughter's progress also seems to be affected if she is ill or

generally not feeling well too which I can't blame on the efa's.

Let me know if you have any questions. Please also describe your daughter to

me speech wise and developmentally in different areas since my daughter too

is globally delayed.

Thanks, Carolyn
