Guest guest
There is a program also in FL certain times of the year where the children with special needs swim with dolphins. My 2 cents is, that's great. But it only last during that time your there. Why not have pets at home that are loving towards your child, you'll get the same benefit, but its year around. > The other thing on channel 2 news at noon in Houston, there was a news item > about Autism and swimming with dolphins in Turkey. I was at the tail end of > it. >

But it only last during that time your there. I really question whether this is so. I have no experience with ASD kids and dolphins, but I have read a couple of books of first person accounts of adults swimming with dolphins, and some of their experiences are pretty mind-boggling. I think some of them would probably say the effect was very much long term. > Why not have pets at home that are loving towards your child, you'll > get the same benefit, but its year around. Same basic comment---- much as I adore cats, they are not dolphins. Read about the physical and emotional healing experiences people have had with dolphins if you want. I think it is different than cats/dogs/birds/etc. good wishes, Moria p.s. I'm all for having a wonderful home full of loving creatures. Guest guest
My typical daughter and her friend swam with Dolphins and had a great time and said it was very fun but it had no long term effect of any sort except for a good memory.
