i too like unsweetened cocoa in my coffee. i dont use the syrup, just

make expresso-strength coffee in a french press, add cocoa and a few drops of

peppermint, them top it off with frothed milk. its better than starbucks!

For awhile I was putting a TBS of real unsweetened cocoa mixed with a

TBS of real maple syrup in my morning coffee, as it was purported to

balance hormones. I stopped doing it b/c I'm super sensitive to

sugar, and the syrup was just too much, but my dh still drinks it b/c

he enjoys it. I can't say whether or not it works, but it came from

the book " Chronobiotic Nutrition " , which I came to in a round-about

way.

two. there is lots of info about the benefits of maple syrup on the

master cleanse/lemonade diet sites. i am not advocating the cleanse,

just the info about benefits of maple syrup.
