Thank you so much! Of course, that's what I SHOULD have done (gotten a

mushroom from someone on this list rather than an online seller, or

eBay) but hindsight is always 20-20. LOL.

Is it true what Laurel Farms says about using plain old Lipton tea

bags? And that organic isn't good to use?

i have no proof, but my opinion is that organic tea and organic unprocessed

sugar are always better for you than pesticide-laden varieties. she says a lot

of things i think are in error on her site, but hey, she's a

self-proclaimed expert and i am a humble newbie. ok, i've been on here long

enough that no one will believe the humble part, but i am a relatively

well-informed newbie!

Lipton tea is made up of the lowest grade of tea -- dust.

Dust is the remants left over from all the other grades of tea being sorted.

If you'd like, I can send you a picture of what tea dust looks like.

I always use organic loose leaf tea and organic sugar. Loose leaf tea tastes

far better than bag tea, and I appreciate knowing that my tea and sugar is not

covered with pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers or other chemicls and that

sludge was not used as a fertilizer.

She also says not to use Sun tea jars. Is there anything wrong with

them? I am currently using one with a plastic spigot. I love it for

filling my bottles. I think the 1 gallon pyrex bowl that she

recommends would be hard to handle when it comes to pouring it out.
