Hi all!

Does anyone have suggestions on where or what store chains may have the

kind of strainers needed for Kefir? I bought the medium Chefmate

plastic strainer, and a Chefmate 3 qt. plastic measuring cup both from

Target and the strainer fits perfectly in the measuring cup. However,

the holes were too big for the Kefir. I probably can use it more for

Kombucha right? Any recommendations on where to find a nylon mesh

strainer?

Thank you!

Joan

I use a little orange plastic strainer which I got as a prize during

a Tupperware home party oh so many years ago (when the color orange

was stylish - it is once again, now, isn't it?)

I tend to hang onto things, and this useful gadget has just now

realized its full potential as a kombucha strainer.

It's so small (only about 2 inch across and then a short handle), all

one piece, and fits right on top of a glass. I strain as I pour to

fill my glass for a drink. Works beautifully. Wouldn't work for

kefir because it has no potential to hold any more volume but less

than 1/4 cup, so whatever is strained must pour straight through

without pausing.

Does Tupperware even make these gadgets anymore?

Is there such a thing as " vintage " Tupperware party prize gadgets?
