Guest guest
Hi Frantz.... I've looked all over for plastic caps that will fit well enough to retain carbonation with no luck. I've also tried finding metal replacements like the original ones with no luck. If you or anyone else does find a source, please clue me in, too! Thanks.... Guest guest
Oh... I forgot to mention that the 'polyseal' caps that can be found will NOT hold in carbonation.... been there, tried that.... Guest guest
Hello, I found some metallic caps that fit at a local beer brewer supply. They are the ones used for 1-gallon glass jugs. They cost 25 cents each, probably cheaper if you order a case. Jo. > > Hi Frantz.... Guest guest
Sorry to resurrect an old thread but I'm wondering which cap you use that will fit and SEAL on a GT Dave's bottle. Looking at their pictures, I am currently using a Black Phenolic Cone Lined Cap that I purchased at my local homebrew store but I rarely get them to seal adequately to hold in the fizz. Or, if anyone else has found a great reusable cap for the GT bottle, I would love to hear. It just seems silly not to use what you already have. Thanks, all. Guest guest
I use the plastic caps that came on the bottles. I don't shake it up much :-) so I figure the contact is minimal. If I have metal caps, I use a little waxed paper underneath because otherwise, they corrode. Pick your poison.
