Mini scoby during 2nd fermentation

What are these " flem balls " that form during 2nd ferementation? I fill a bottle

to the top,

put on the lid, and let sit on the counter for a few days. It's at the top and

clear - hard to

see, but really gross when gets into my mouth.

My tea has not been very carbonated so I thought this would help. The taste is

great. I've

been straining it, but would prefer to not have to.

I know the KT I purchase at the store has things floating in it, they are

usually visible and

not this texture.

What am I doing wrong?
