Guest guest
Hi All I have a non-verbal 7 y/o son, Zack. Since starting EFA supplementation last November he is *really* taking off. Showing all sorts of new skills, particularly reading. Our SLT mention a programme called 'Language through Reading' (I think). His teacher has mentioned writing with symbols. Anybody got any experience of either of these? Or how I can progress the reading/writing? He has only recently started making marks on paper with a pencil, can use a mouse, is being assessed for an AAC device. Some sort of computer 'game' I can play with him at home would be a big motivator. They use it in many of the spec. ed. rooms I've been visiting lately. It's simple, yet fun and I believe it's reasonably priced, too!
