Guest guest
I was wondering if anyone else might have this problem. My 2.10 month old has been seeing a ST with EI since Dec. We just finished testing for her transition in to Pre-K, for which I'm sure she will receive therapy. Last Friday, I took her to a new pediatrician, for insurance purposes and because her previous Dr. wouldn't give a referral to a SP (which is why she's in EI). Well, it's like everyone knows she needs therapy, but I was the only one that thought we needed and wanted a diagnosis as to what her speech problem is. From everything i have learned, there are different types of therapy for different problems apraxia, phonological, etc. Is is aking to much of me to want a medical name with her speech disibility? Also, does anyone experience their children gagging easily? My daughter gags at everything....when she pees in the toilet, when she comes in the kitchen and smells foods cooking, when it's time to eat and I put her in her highchair I guess she thinks about eating and gags. I don't know if it might be a sensory issue or what. Thanks
