Guest guest
Hi all.. Well it has happened after 2 years! My son has said " MOM " . At first I was thinking...nah..that couldn't have been that, but then he said it again and again. Now I am convinced it was what I thought it was. The one thing that I have kept doing that his therapist has mentioned to me is this: Once you hear him try to say something, make something out of it that you think he is saying and keep repeating it. was always walking around using the " d " word constantly. Since I have cut back on his milk he has been doing alot more activities than his normal. He has been mouthing the " m " sound alot and it finally came out. I hope I am not jumping the gun here...I just am glad that he has gotten this far. When I say " did you just say Mom " he smiles and looks at me like " YES I DID! " It does happen and we still have a long road ahead of us...it is just a good feelng to know that he CAN and he WILL make progress as each day goes on. ...Mom to son (2) with Severe Expressive Language Disorder and Severe Expressive Language Disorder, Kassie (6) and (9 months)
