Guest guest
My son is 10 and he is severely autistic. He still is totally nonverbal. However, since the school introduced the PECS to him and I've been signing to him, some of his tension and anxiety has been reduced. He so much wants to communicate, I know we are doing everything we should be doing, we are in an excellent school district, he has an excellent team, we work with him at home all the time. At least now he can communicate SOME of what he's thinking, but there is still such a long way to go. Has anyone else had similiar experience? Did your child ever start talking if so?
