Guest guest
I want to say thank you to all the responses I received in regards to my gross motor questions. I orginally intended not to accept any kind of services for gross motor skills if they are offered. But, after the responses I've decided it's probably very important to go ahead with it. It's just hard to believe that when she seemed so on target at one point in her life, she can start falling so far behind. Her incoordination doesn't seem all the apparent to me until we go to our Gymboree class and our Leap Forward class at the Y (sort of a free-play gymnastics class). If I didn't see her next to other kids I would assume she was just more of a cautious kid who is more sedentary. But, when we go to activity classes it becomes VERY evident that she's just not keeping up. I didn't realize she should be so confident on her feet and able to more than just walk with her legs...LOL. I see some kids her age doing like bunny hops across the room and just laugh because I can't even imagine Kaeli coming close to that. She seems to have a long way to go to look that confident on her feet. Thanks again!!! Bridget mom to Kaeli (age 2 VERY soon) __________________________________________________
