Guest guest
Hello, Just had to jump in here regarding the diet and dyspraxia and disabilities in general. I have four kids with my six yr. old having oral dyspraxia/SI issues/learning dys., etc. I DID see a huge difference when we got rid of white flour, white sugar, and processed food products. Now, I mill all of our flour (it's actually much easier than it sounds)! I make all of our breads and other " goodies. " I have seen a big difference in that my daughter can attend much better, her speech has improved (I'm thinking her body was able to better process the info coming in). I would highly recommend trying a diet change and see if it helps. We do use soy milk but also use " regular " milk (although it's organic..no hormones, etc.) I try to get fresh veggies and fruits in at every meal and don't bring any junk food or pop into the house. I haven't tried the true elimination diets as they were a bit too much for me at this time. I would be interested in hearing from others that have. There are many great sites out there teaching how to eat more wholesome foods. I like this one: Click here: Welcome to Mountain Tops Milling! There are also a Whole foods digest and wholegrain baking group on the groups lists. They have some great recipes which is what I needed to really get going. It's not that I didn't want to eat healthier but I wasn't sure where to start. Hope this helps!
