Guest guest
I get that in my feet if I tap anywhere below mid-lower leg or so and particularly directly on my feet. I asked a foot doctor about it and he said it was from a similar thing to carpel tunnel that happens in your ankle. It is really annoying. Unfortunately he didn't offer much in the way of solutions for it except surgery. Jocelynrightgirl@... wrote: I was wondering if anyone else experienced a similar sensation with RA. I don't really know quite how to describe it; the sensation is like what happens when you bang the funny bone in your elbow, but with me, it's in my legs. All I have to do is tap the front of my thighs, and the sensation reverberates down my legs like a tuning fork. This is on both legs, equally, goes through my knees, and extends into my feet (which always feel like they're pins and needles, or asleep.)Has anyone experienced anything like this? I'd appreciate any response, because no one seems to know what I'm talking about, and I don't think I'm nuts (not yet, anyway. ;)Debby
Guest guest
Not in the skin area of the legs, but in the bones for certain. Shooting pains are the worst, bringing me to my knees, which is why I always push a cart in a grocery (or any other store) that has one. Also carry three canes in my trunk. I graduated from wheelchair, to cane, but I take no chances... The skin is often extremely sensitive. Like I told my doctor, it is teeth gritting pain. Thank goodness, I'm here to gripe about it! nrightgirl@... wrote: I was wondering if anyone else experienced a similar sensation with RA. Guest guest
I also get it and I have been told that it is something called restless leg syndrome which is similar to carpal tunnel. The tuning fork is a good way to describe the feeling. Guest guest
Hi, I have the same problem but I also have a burning sensation on my feet. With the location of my original RA started to be noticed, my Doctor said that my nerve endings are being compromised on the lower protion of my spine. At this time not treatment is advised. Down the road I may have to look into fusion of several vertebra. At this time i prefer not to mess with my spine. Only lead to more problems with housework. My husband does a lot of it already. Guest guest
Sandy, I would try pain management but my health insurance doesn't cover that (can you believe that!) They would rather pain for the remecade infusions but not pain management! My major concern at this time is that the numbness is spreading. My hips and knees are giving me more trouble and I don't think remecade is doing enough. Don't get me wrong, it's helping but it's not enough to function properly with day to day tasks. (I am sorry that no one knows me well, but I had just started this group and posted only once a few months ago. I lost my mother just last month unexpectedly. I am now trying to help my step-father get through this loss.) I just did start reading group post this past week. So forgive me if you don't know me well. Guest guest
HI Vicky, We have only just given second shot and we are seeing this behaviour. We have had it before and suspected candida. Does MB12 stir up candida ? Jane Anyone know what this is? Sorry but a bit delicate, is pulling and pulling at his privates,it seems to drive him nuts, he doesen't have any of his usual Candida signs,so don't know what this could be,it's happening mostly but not always at night and appears to have come along roughly when we started MB12.TIAVicky
Guest guest
Let me know what you find out. We have only given 2 shots so far. Not quite sure what to expect. Does MB12 take a while to build up in your system ? Jane Re: Anyone know what this is? Thanks Jane, at least we aren't the only ones lol. Don't really know about MB12 and Candida, but I kind of discounted Candida because he is not having the usual gloopy BM'S or spots, just this tugging at his privates. I'llhave a look on their website and see if anyone else is seeing this. Vicky
